Exploration and evaluation of robusta coffee quality in Merangin Regency, Jambi Province

Jambi known as one of the Robusta coffee producing areas in Indonesia. Many promising clones were found at plantations and have adapted to local agroecosystems. The study aimed evaluate quality Merangin Regency, Province. exploration evaluation carried out July 2020 December 2021 using survey method. In this study, several coffees that had developed community found, such Prima, Tugusari Kuning, Bengko, Mendo, Hijau. These are preferred because they good taste high productivity well adaptive highlands. result cupping test for Local, Hijau showed a final score >80 (Fine Robusta) with ranging from 80.50-81.63, while Parabola Curup categorized not specialty 70.50 78.375, respectively. On other hand, results caffeine content analysis Curup, Parabola, Hijau, Kuning ranged 1.33-1.74%. This initial is expected provide an overview existence Jambi. Hence, these can be superior future.
